Before you begin

Follow the steps below to start sending automated SMS messages with short URLs using the Message-Deck Automations API.

Follow These Steps to Get Started

1. Login and create a MARKETING type API token.

2. Create an API Token

Navigate to apis/keys Tokens and create a new token with the following configuration:

  • Token Type: MARKETING
  • Name: Choose a meaningful name (e.g. Automations API – Production)
  • Description: Briefly describe the intended usage of the token

3. Contact our support team to get our API enpoints.

4. Create a Landing Page

Automations SMS messages rely on landing pages for short URL redirection.

  • Go to /campaigns/list/sites click New Site
  • Create and publish a landing page
  • Note the Site ID, as it will be required in API requests
